Intaglio Project 1: You're Not Scared, Right?

Hi guys. I know I haven't posted in a very long time (due to school and extra curricular activities). However, I am going to show you the process and final product of my first project.

The first image here is what my original idea was. The objective was to show a sense without the use of sight. So, I opted for that feeling you get when it's the middle of the night, you're reading creepypastas, and suddenly you are terrified to look out the window because you think someone or something is watching you. There were a lot of details, so my best motive would be to crop it down, and probably ditch the monster for the purpose of ambiguity. Not knowing what is outside.

So, for the purpose of keeping it ambiguous, I went for a window shot. So, you are whatever it is that is looking at this poor fellow right here. And for the purpose of flipping the image, (since the window is on his right) I traced the image onto the plate as it was.

I opted for a copper plate, as seen below. I could have used plexiglass or zinc since we were doing dry point. But since it is more typical to use copper, I went for copper. Plus, I can work back into it later with other techniques that I am being taught such as etching and aquatint.

Below is my first proof. As you can see, there wasn't much pressure on my plate when running it through the press. Since I was working with 20 gauge copper, the pressure had to be stronger to get the ink in the lines out onto the paper.

This is my second proof below, which was run through at the correct pressure, but needed deeper lines work.

So here is the proof with deeper line work. This did not make it into my edition because I had printed it upside down (prints are usually weighted at the bottom).

And here is the first of my edition of five. My handwriting needs to be smaller though. Since this print, I have gone back into my plate and worked out some issues. I might use etching for the wood work on the frame. I did a little bit of burnishing on the plate. Hopefully, when I am done with the project I am working on now, I can show my progress on this print.

Announcement: New Material

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been posting lately. However, I'm deciding to move away from narrating. I know. It's sad, but I don't think I have the right voice to Narrate, and I have just got my computer completely fixed including software. Thank God I did not lose any of my materials this time. I am also discontinuing narrating because school just started for me, and I am going to be beyond busy. (Seriously. One class requires 8 textbooks and 10 hours of studying/reading). However, the good news is that I am three art courses. Including Intaglio, Painting, and Non-Traditional Photography. I think to build up my portfolio, I am going to start posting my work up here. I am excluding fan art on this page. If you are interesting in seeing fan-art, I will give you a link on popular demand to my non-professional page, which is DeviantArt in this case. I will try to make videos of my progress to put onto Youtube. Thank you and have a good night.

Are You Scared of Me? I Have Returned

Yes, that is right. I am home. Am I have many a thing to show you of my adventures in Ecuador.
However, before that, I need to update you on a few things.
1. I am going to hold off on the creepypasta narrations for this week, or until I find out what is up with my Adobe CC and why it is stalling my computer.
2. Because of this, I will mostly be using this blog for other such things, such as film critiques, any art that I do that is not considered fan art and etc.
3. I think I will also extend the invitation to all on Facebook who are following me, so that I may receive more followers on my blog.
Thank you all so much, and I cannot wait to show you all I have seen and gone through.

Narrations Update

Hey guys. So, I had to replace my hard drive on my computer, which got rid of a lot of files I had on my previous hard drive. Luckily, I kept all of my pictures, homework, and stories/(fan fictions). Unfortunately, my narrations are gone. So the past few videos you have seen are completely gone. I am not going to post anything on Wednesday this next week because I have to reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud. And since it slowed down before my system crashed, I am a little hesitant on setting it up again. Thanks and Happy Hauntings :3

Smile.Dog

Hello friends. So, I was having some trouble rendering the version of Smile.Dog from After Effects. For some reason, I've been having some issues with Adobe CC. So, I decided I will use my second progress video for now, until I get the rendering situation figured out. Thank you, and Happy Hauntings :3

Smile.Dog - Progress 2

Good evening. I did not expect that upload to take that long, but I have Smile.Dog Progress 2 done. This time, I added the image that I had created. I did not put it through Illustrator (the scanned image) due to the fact that it might have made it slower if I used Illustrator. There are no effects yet. Hopefully by tomorrow before midnight, the full video will be uploaded with no problems. Thank you, and happy hauntings :3

Progress 1 - Smile.dog

So, I'm going to do something new. I am going to upload my progress onto my YouTube channel as I go along. If you may remember, my plan to upload a creepypasta on Friday the 13th sort of fell through. So, I am uploading my progress, that way I do not get so frustrated. For this one, I did not include an image, since the audio is what matters most. Today, I am currently uploading the second video with the image that I had done myself. By tomorrow morning at the same time (dead of night), I am going to upload the video with the effects. I am planning on including the original Smile.jpg along with the image I had done. So, thank you for your patience.

Smile.Dog - Update

Hi guys. I know that today I said I would upload something in honor of Friday the 13th, however, Smile.jpg aka Smile.Dog is giving me a lot of trouble. So, Wednesday, Smile.Dog will appear. Sorry guys. Thanks for your patience.

Smile.dog - Image

For this one, I decided to do my own rendition of the Smile.dog image as well as include the original. The video will be posted at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Livestream Now

Hello guys. You may know that last week there was a tragedy in Wisconsin were two girls stabbed their friend 19 times in the name of Slenderman. Luckily, the girl survived, and she's recovered. So, in response to that, the Creepypasta community decided to get together and raise money for it. Today, there is a Livestream on Mr. Creepypasta's Channel. All earning go to the family and SafeHorizon.org. Each view makes a difference.

Something Was Wrong

Alright guys. Here is the new and improved updated video from my Youtube channel. Enjoy and Happy Hauntings :3

Something Was Wrong: Images

I did this story back on my birthday two weeks ago. I got the story from "More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark"by Alvin Schwartz. I plan on using my own imagery since I am an artist and I want to draw things, so here is a variation of my illustration that you will see in the final product.
